Penalty KickSeh Loong Moon

CNY would be incomplete without gambling. Big or small stake ain't matter.. just for the thrill of it with family members and friends. It will simply magnifies the joy and keeps the energy reverberating. Tile games like mahjong, ginrummy and domino are cool but number of players may be rather limited. Card games such as Blackjack, Poker, CowNgau and In-Between can accomodate up to eight players or more.

For those who had played In-Between before or know how to play would probably agree that it's one of the freakiest card game ever. Rules of the game are rather simple. Each player gotta contribute an agreed sum to the pool and a croupier will draw two cards for each player. The croupier can be fixed to one of the player or each player will take turn so it depends on the arrangement among players involved. Assuming you draw a 2 and 8. You have two options; either proceed or withdraw from the game. If you wanna proceed, you need to declare to the players how much bet you wanna place. The max bet would be equivalent to the amount in the pool. If you draw any card between 2 and 8, you win. If you draw an ace or card higher than 8, you gotta reimburse the pool the amount you declared earlier. Now comes the best part. If you draw a 2 or 8; congrats!! You kena TIANG. You ought to reimburse the pool double the amount you declared earlier.

The highest possibility to sapu all money in the pool would be drawing an Ace and a King. However, it is also the best way to double the pool money if the player kena tiang. Great greed.. great risk.. great returns. You game? Mai ding lei sau..

Yataimura

It was great catching up with ex-colleagues again last night. As usual, figures talk. Haiz!! U bunch of auditors and accountants.. I'd prefer vital stats.. Tsk! Tsk! Loads of bitching, back stabbing and condemning. Luckily no bosses were invited or their arse would be stuck with 15' chinese firecrackers. Abundance of foods and sake commensurated the hefty bills. Was indeed a great annual event.

Just collected my car from the service centre. Gonna clean and wax it kilat-kilat for coming festivities.

Sau Kung JauDinner

Went to The Curve with the sole intention of getting the printer. Die-die also I must get it. Either I don't start at all or I'll be persistent and get it done by hook or by crook. Visited TF and checked out the new Hyundai Accent 1.5 Hatchback. To me.. definately looks better than its sedan counterpart.

Had sau kung jaudinner with my housemates at New Paris. Waited for 20 minutes before we secured a table. Ordered champagne chic, stir-fried kailan, home-made tofu, herbal soups, steamed patin and yee sang. Makan kao kao.

Dropped by at Sec 17 nite market to change Adelyn's korean baju but only cheongsam was available. She came by my place with Jeselyn to pick it up before going back to Klang to meet up with Judy. I was bitten by fireants while chatting and saying hi. Ouch!! It stung.

Gonna have another round of dinner with my ex-colleagues tomorrow. Jap cuisine; plenty of sashimi, unagi, tempura, salmon, kobebeef and sake. Oh ya!! Congrats to those who got promoted. Dinner on you? Hehe..

Fruitful weekend

Attended DC's Kick-Off Seminar at MGE. The external speakers were fantabulous. Very da Ass-Kickin'. Buffet dinner was yummylicious. The other part of me wanna be with Bubbles; playing volleyball. Mau show off my sotong-hand spiking stance. Ohh la la.. Met up with Cat; Ipoh mali punye. Soft spoken and svelte. Hey!! Where's my pomelo arr?

Had a deep sleep last night for 6 hours. It was simply amazing and refreshing. Must be the 2 cans of beer I had at Gary's house warming. A reasonable alcohol intake won't kill eh. After due consideration by Mr. Liver and Mr. Brain, permission was granted to Mr. Pharynx as the contact point and Mr. Esophagus for handling the transit. Mr. Bladder will gather residue and arrange for export thru Mr. Dick. Gotta settle for DOM since Christy didn't buy me Absolut :(

Cleaned my working corner and cleared my workstation. The new 4-tier A4 drawer certainly comes handy. Reserved an upper penthouserack for my replacement laser printer. Hope it won't mind sharing a small plot with the DVD writer. The external speakers will be relegated. Fax, scanner, modem, switch and filing cabinet remain status quo. My kinda conducive SOHO ambiance.. equipped with a leather executive chair. Syiok man!!

Made a trip to BKK; my inaugural banner display at KT's premise. Returned home and rested before going The Curve for haircut and printer hunting. Waited quite awhile for my hairstylist Dorothy to gimme a new hairstyle this year. Da Lulian Look!! Everyone gonna be shocked as I haven't changed my Ting-Lek hairstyle for more than a decade. Printer hunting was unsuccessful as the store was closed for annual dinner. Met Jeremy, Kit and daughter. Supper at 223 before calling it a day.

MondayMundane blues

Had a lethargic day. May due to the vigorous exercise and lack of quality rest over the weekend. Mind's numb and blank. Muscles are aching. Appetite's having a strike. Body's protesting and demanding a rest.

Long lost passion

Joined Bubbles for volleyball yesterday evening at Shah Alam. GOD knows how nervous I was coz I'd be playing with state players. Thank GOD the national player was absent. Paiseh!! The last match I played was in 1989; back in secondary school. Saw some familiar faces the moment I walked into the hall. Hopefully they didn't notice the poor trembling skinny stranger who seem to lose his position always. Hey! The rotation was veryabit confusing leh. Somehow the volleyball felt as heavy as a basketball. I served like Kournikova, smashedspiked like Susi Susanti and kickeddigged like Maradona. Can spot the similarities?Ya kno' wat I'm sayin' boh?

Overall, the game was fabulous. Abundant of dig-set-spike despite me losing tempo, rhythm and position. The sportmanship showed by Bubbles was astonishing. I'd not hesitate to join them again for future game.. if I'm invited.

Eh! I should be resting by now since gotta attend a training at 1030 later. Goodnight BubblesMalaysia.. wherever you are.

Friday 13th

What would you do if someone have expectations on you.. especially explicitly expressed? Would your reactions differ among various categories of people around you? If yes, what kinda categories do you have? Strangers? Acquaintance? Friends? Buddies? Loved ones?

In many cases, relationships blossomed from beautifully developed friendships. The feelings, trust, comfort and security are gradually nurtured and cultivated before it becomes intimate. Those who usually jump into a relationship will see more flaws and obstacles ahead as the foundation of understanding was very much biased and deceived by fakefirst impressions. On the contrary, there are always exceptions to all circumstances.

How badly can a friendship be affected by a failed courtship? Do you wish that the first move wasn't made at all? Can the friendship remains status quo? How many can take rejection positively? Just another lemon what.. so???

Today is 1 of 2 Friday 13th of 2006. I'm so wicked.. AuuUooooOooOoo *howling*

Roof above headMy lair..

Finally visited my apartment after months of procrastination. Had a shock of my life when I opened my letterbox. It was so full that there won't be any room for another letter. Waliao!! Spoken to my friendly neighbour; Mr. & Mrs. Eric and even managed to get a glimpse of their renovated kitchen. Yeah!! Been thinking of the renovation works, furnishing and ID of my humble apartment lately. As the kitchen layout is an open concept; am contemplating of a bar-cum-dining counter or a sliding partition in addition to kitchen cabinets, hood and stove. Perhaps a combi of both would be nice too.

I've always wanted an simple and cozy home; not overly furnished but yet bears a theme for both me and my darling. My ideas and concepts are seriously lacking of.. feminine touch!!

WoOt!!

Yesterday evening I've finally done something I've not done for a long long time.

Brand new year! Brand new aspirations! Brand new missions! Brand new actions!

My blood's boiling! My adrenalin's pumping! My brain's thinking! My limbs are moving!

I feel sooooo.. ALIVE!!! YeeeeeHarrrrr!!!

How far are you from L.O.V.E?

The furthest distance is not life and death between lovers, instead it happens when i am standing in front of you but you don't know that i love you.
The utmost distance between lovers is not that you didn't realise i love you even when i am standing in front of you, instead it is the truth that we can't be together although we know that we love each other.
The outermost distance between lovers is not we can't be together although we know we love each other, instead it is the truth that we have to pretend to make each other a stranger in our mind even though we know we are perfect for each other.

Breakthrough

Another year has gone. What have I done and achieved? Am I still on track? Can my under-achievements be satisfactorily justified? What should I be focusing on this year to redeem the loss and to reclaim the glory?

I've always been in a constant search for a breakthrough after I resigned from my last job. Imagine the years of agony and suffering doing mundane craps day-in-day-out not mentioning part time study on the weekends. Meagre salary, long working hours, weekend classes.. practically no-life at all. My commitments and promises made to my late Mom were to be fulfilled AT ALL COST; no compromise. On the contrary, I've been moulded to be independent and family oriented. Looking back to the past and who I am today.. I'm kinda glad that I've dutifully fulfilled my vows as a son and as the eldest sibling. My sacrifices are definately worthy.

Opportunities are rolling in. This year may mark yet another turning point in my life. Come on baby!! Let ur horses over. I'm game for it.

Penang Fest & Feast

It was a beautiful sunny day and luscious greenery of Banjaran Titiwangsa comforted me throughout the ride. My empty stomach was growling ferociously due to absense of feeds. Been reserving it for scrumptious foods nia. Kinda late for dim sum so we had yong tau foo, hakka mee and taufufa in Ipoh. Energy and nutritions replenished; ready to hit the highway again.

Upon reaching Pg, we have tough time reading a 2-year old map which almost led us to Holland.. hahah!! Drastic measure to convert roads to one-way traffic in the city to keep up with rapid increase in motor vehicle volume in the island. Reminds me of Ronin; cool car chase on narrow streets of Milan's Relaxed and freshen up in hotel before going to Kebun Bunga. Met Jess, Jane and Henry before adjourning to Gurney Drive for assam laksa, sotong bakar, rojak and charkuehteow. Watched Cheaper by the Dozed 2 before joining the crowds for Sarong Party Countdown at Gurney Drive. The babes were so hot!! Fewwit!! Had tough time exiting from parking due to massive jam. Makan sup kambing for supper despite losing my voice. Dammit!! I'm such a glutton. My motto in Penang.. 'makan first suffer later'. Popped over to Soho and Uptown to check out some hot chicas. Shake a Boom Boom Shakey Shakey Boom Boom!!

Skipped my Youth Meeting to makan with Jess and Jane. Yvonne and Annie tagged along too. I'm the torn among the rosesThe more the merrier. Had yummy charkuehteow at Jln Dato Keramat for breakfast before embarking a long journey to Kulim for lunch; fresh water fish. By this time, I've lost almost 85% of my voice. Jess was too engrossed chatting with me till she missed the Kulim Hi-Tech exit. Hehe!! The fish ponds are located in a secluded kampung-cum-plantation land at Sungai Kop. Luckily Jess' 4WD Vitara was able to cruise well on the bumpy road. There were so many ponds and fishes. Amazingly, not many people know about this place as it only caters a small crowds of 11 tables in a humble shack. We merely ordered fried Patin, steamed Paksougung and vegie. The Omega-3 was simply succulent and mouth-washing. The best-est and fresh-est fish I've eaten.. Yum! Yum! Rushed back to Pg to attend Anxi Youth Dinner at Han Jiang School. Met up with Mr & Mrs Cheah and their new Gen2. Eventually settled for a bottle of guailo leongchar Carlberg after futile hunt for wong low kat. Both are now doing well in Dell. All the best and will be seeing u guys soon ya.

Had cheecheongfun and cendol at Pg Road for breakfast before leaving. Was kinda rush coz Jack gotta catch his flight back to Sabah. Stopped by Tapah resthouse to have light meal and fruits. Bought some pomelos and seedless guavas. Had friedghost at SS2 on my way home. Leli cooked french beans and chicken for dinner. Gendang gendut tali kecapi. Kenyang perut senang hati. Yippie!! Hope to put on few kilos if possible.
