NO money NO talkhoney

Was catching up Oliv over dinner. She complained I've neglected her coz too busy with my year-end closing and even made an assumption that I've had a gf. TQ for seeing me so up. I wish too..

Throughout our conversation, she mentioned a lady friend whom decided to stay single due to her fear of poverty. All her life she has been committed as a sole breadwinner of the family and she's reluctant to set up own family in fear of doubling her burden. Those men who do not measured up to her financial expectations will be outrightly rejected whilst those who do; showed no interest in her.

Due to the escalation of living cost and standard of living, it's a norm to have both hubby and wife working to support the family; especially living in a city. Gone were the days of our grandparents' generation whereby a sole breadwinner can feed a dozen households. For those who are fortunate enough to marry a rich hubby may be spared the agony and pressure of stranglehold financial burden. They might also have the luxury of staying in posh neighbourhood, driving expensive cars, regular fine dining and yearly overseas vacation.

My question is.. what is the proportion of the rich to the poor in the country? How many of the rich actually mingle with the poor? Can the poor adapt to the lifestyle of the rich? What is the success rate of a poor marrying a rich?

IMHO, I believe everything has a pricetag.. but can money solely buys everything?
