Poppy Aftermath

Woke up at noon the next day having mild hangover. Just had some vermicelli for lunch before I catch up with chores. After a good sweat and shower, now I vividly recall the marvelous time I had last night. Here it goes..

I had to skip Shir's baby fullmoon as the buffet dinner prolonged. Foods were ok; I sapu lots of raw oysters, salmon sashimi, grilled mantis prawn and kebab. Exiting the spiral carpark was ala roller-coaster ride. Luckily the half churned-half digested foods in my stomach didn't spiral out thanx to the drifting lesson I learnt from watching Tokyo Drift. Reached home just in time to freshen and gear up for partying before Norman reaches my place.

Reached Poppy at 2323. Everywhere was crowded; Rum J, Thai C, Zouk and Poppy G. We got in free thanx to Sy's charming fren, Rachel. A table was already reserved for us. Met the rest of the forumers in person that night; Ducki, AmyK, ReeZ, DaRRenZ, K1or1, LenG and Sq besides existing kakis. Everyone started drinking and dancing instantly; possessed by the hypnotic R&B. I've also checked out Passion for its trance but was told only house will be played that night.

My objective that night was to booze and party till I get piss drunk. I wanna be lost in the crowd and in the music and beat; where nobody is judging anybody and everybody just wanna have fun. I was so surprised that I actually danced that night. Whoaahh!! Shakin' my booties. Sibeh syiok laa. Damn high oso. I was so focused on my objective that I've failed to notice the two pretty young lady in black besides our lair. Only realised the beauties when I rested and jadi tukang jaga handbags. Can't dance no more as I was feeling tipsy despite drinking less than ten glasses of whisky coke. I remembered dropping her lipstick when I passed her the handbag. She has a very sweet smile, doesn't smoke, drinks a little and a pleasant body language. I was smitten by her charms that very last 30 mins before Poppy closes. Later I found out her name is Susan. * I just can`t get U out of my head. Girl your loving is all I think about. I just can`t get U out of my head. Girl it`s more than I dare 2 think about.. La la la. La la la la la la la la*

Managed to reach home intact; thanx to MunHoe. Looking forward to joining them again when my party mood arises. Unbelievable friends. Unbelievable dance. Unbelievable crowds. Unbelievable Susan. Mysterious stranger.. who are you?

Say cheeeeebaiiissse..

Went back to office for a photography session this morning. Since I was instructed to wear elegantly, I expected a decent photography session with all fellow peers and principals. To my dismay, some of them were absent whilst only few photos were taken using a common digital camera. Boss said can photoshop later woh. Aiks!! Dodgy looking photos for dodgy profile. No eyes see.

Popped by at Hush Puppies Warehouse Sale. Bought a pair of Obermain shoes and socks. Was jingling happily the whole evening only to find out later it was a display pair. Aiks!! Damn careless. Blame nobody but me, myself and I. Ok laa.. still look brand new. A good polish will do the trick just like makeups on women. *sniggers*

I'm looking forward for tomorrow's clubbing at Poppy Garden. First in 2006. Out of sudden I feel like head-banging and boozing. I wanna get high. I just wanna have some peaceful moments without thinking of anything else besides partying. Yeah yeah!! No drink and drive I know. Thanx Norman for picking me up. I really appreciate it. Need a drink badly now. Bailey's anyone?

Dreams

Been having weirdwet dreams continuously for many nights. I do dream quite often but I got a weirdwet feeling each time I wake up lately. It's like a hidden message for me to decipher. A tadbit of my incomplete life jigsaw puzzle I'd say.

"When the world turn its back on u.. u turn your back to the world" There's no worries, for the rest of the days. It's my problem-free philosophy.. Hakuna Matata :D

Mediterranean

Had my haircut on Sunday. Saw the lenglui hairstylist Dorothy but she was busy attending another client so I had to settle for Jojo instead. Simple cut. Short and spiky. Noticed that my receding hairline is getting worse. As chinese saying goes " 9 out of 10 baldy are rich". Damn!! I ain't not be the one out of ten. *sniggers*

Submissive moment

Here I am.. having insomnia again and updating my journal while most Malaysians are sleeping soundly. There's nothing on my mind. I am totally exhausted and craving a good night rest. The air is humid. My fan is blasting to the max. My queen-size bed is definately too big for me to sleep alone. Feeling cold and blue.. especially when insomnia strikes. This is the moment I'd be most vulnerable. Any Tammy, Daisy and Hazey could sink her teeth into me and suck me dry. Without resistance. Without commotion. Without regret. I am totally yours..

Lulian boofeh

Was looking forward to this day since the brochure of the promo hit the market. Luckily for me, one of my housemate is working in Armada Hotel so I did get some 'insider info' about the type and quantity of durians ordered. Since I was told that more than 800 early birds have grabbed the ticket, my lulian kiasuism instantly declared state of emergency. MISI UTAMA: MAKAN DURIAN. Lain-lain belakang kira. I arrived as early as 1045am via LRT to avoid scorching sun.

Five stalls were set up for durians and a stall for roti jala, bubur durian and nasi pulut. I was stall hopping to taste the variety of durians served but my observation told me that these fruits may come from the same source.. aka same orchards and same state. Mostly were durian kampung; so it was kinda disappointment to me. Ooii!! Apa lu mau. RM10 aje banyak komplen ka? Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! Ok lah. Although I wasn't entirely satisfied with the quality of the fruits but the quantity of those I have tasted collectively filling my stomach to the brim. Enuf!! Called it quit after 2pm.

Full, partly satisfied, tired and tanned. I need a good nap *smug*

King of the Fruits

My favourite fruit. The season is here. My craving has just begun. I luv the pungent aroma, creamy texture, not too dry, bitter (a must) and preferably with fermented liquor taste. Anyone game for durian feast?

#11 Durian

D11
"Number Eleven" is a very popular durian in the 70's. It has creamy yellow flesh with a pleasant taste and a subtle smell.

D604
The D604 was first cultivated by the late Mr. Teh Hew Hong of Sungai Pinang, Balik Pulau. The flesh is quite sweet, and has some "body" to it as the seed is small

D600 Durian

D600
This durian originates in Sungai Pinang in Balik Pulau. The flesh has a bittersweet taste to it, with a touch of sourness. The one that I documented is a bit hard.

D700
The flesh is darker than D600, like chrome yellow. Also slightly hard. Crispy, but the smell is not very strong.

Ang Sim Durian

Ang Sim (Red Heart)
Ang Sim is a durian with flesh which is quite soft and very sweet, and dark yellow in colour. It also has a nice aroma.

Khun Poh
This durian takes the name of the late Mr Lau Khun Poh, who first budded it. Khun Poh has beautiful orangy flesh with a slightly bitter-sweet taste and a heavy aroma.

Hor Loh (Water Gourd Durian)
The flesh of the Hor Loh is very soft, dry and quite bitter. It has a sharp smell to it. Hor Loh was first cultivated at the Brown Estate of Sungai Ara. It got its name from its appearance resembling a "Hor Lor" pumpkin. If the durian hits the ground hard when it falls, the flesh tends to be bitter thereafter.

Ang Heh (Red Prawn Durian)
Ang Heh originates from Pondok Upeh, Balik Pulau, and has a round-shaped husk. The orange reddish flesh is highly aromatic, very soft with a bitter-sweet taste.

Xiao Hung Durian

Xiao Hung (Little Red Durian)
Xiao Hung, whose name means "Little Red One," originates in Sungai Pinang, Balik Pulau. The flesh has a bittersweet taste to it, with a touch of sourness. The one that I tasted for this write-up is a bit hard. There are only one or two seeds per section, but the flesh is thick.

Yah Kang (Centipede Durian)
Yah Kang is one of my favourite durians. Although its flesh is whitish, the taste is superb, milky, like very sweet, melting chocolate. The name "yah kang" means centipede, and accounts for the number of centipedes found at the foot of the tree, hence giving it the rather unusual name.

Bak Eu Durian

Bak Eu (Pork Fat Durian)
Bak Eu has a slightly acidic aroma. The flesh is whitish while the taste is quite bitter but nice.





D17
D17 is dark cream flesh. The taste is slightly dry but sweet. It is a tasty durian.

Coupling Durian

Coupling
This durian is gets its unusual name because it looks like two durians joined together, one big and one small. When split open, you almost thought the two halves belong to two different durians. Coupling has whitish flesh which is slightly dry but tastes good.

Ooi Kyau (Tumeric Durian)
The name Ooi Kyau (tumeric) describes the colour of the bright yellow flesh of this durian. It is very sweet and tasty.

Chaer Phoy Durian

Chaer Phoy (Green Skin Durian)
Chaer Phoy is shaped like a small canteloupe. The skin is bright green, giving it the name which means "green skin". Chaer Phoy has creamy white flesh which is a bit dry, not too sweet but tasty.

Ang Jin (Red Yoke Durian)
As the name suggests, Ang Jin Durian has deep orange flesh. It is very sweet and tasty.

Lin Fong Jiau
This durian is named after Lin Fong Jiau, aka Mrs Jackie Chan. I wonder whether it is indicative of the relationship of the celebrity couple, for Lin Fong Jiau is a bittersweet
